I recently tried OUMPH!'s 'The Chunk' Pieces.I promised my subscribers from my YouTube channel, CupcakeGeekxo, that I'd do a short review of them, as I filmed a video about my first impressions and two different ways to use the product.

All of OUMPH!'s products are vegan and free range. Per 100g, OUMPH! The Chunk pieces have 17g of protein and just 0.4 grams of fat!

They also only have three ingredients; water, soya protein and salt. This short of an ingredients list is very uncommon with vegan and vegetarian meat-substitutes.

Let's just take a minute to appreciate the beauty of OUMPH!'s packaging! It pops right out at you through the supermarket's freezers!

One of my criticisms of OUMPH! is the price; I paid £3.49 for a 280g packet.

It took around 15 minutes to cook. I did have to add in some water to defrost it slightly, and also because my pan was too hot!
I made a 125g serving for myself, and that was plenty!

OUMPH! The Chunk pieces with Couscous and Broccoli

Overall, I really enjoyed these OUMPH! The Chunk pieces. They tasted, suprisingly, like meat, and the texture was very similar too.

I found that the OUMPH! pieces were slightly chewy, but I obviously could have overcooked them, however, many other bloggers and YouTubers ave given THE OUMPH! pieces this criticism.

I also tried the OUMPH! pieces in a 'Healthy Kebab'. Watch my 'OUMPH! First Impressions and Recipes'  video here:
